Friendship Soup

Wow! What a feast we had today! We enjoyed gathering together as a class to make a delicious feast. We started off by bringing all of our ingredients together to make our soup. Then we created our costumes and place mats to be used during our feast. We discussed being thankful for the many blessings we have such as our families, friends, and a special place to go to school. Our class also talked about good manners and being polite. Everyone did a great job throughout the feast demonstrating these important lessons. I am thankful for a wonderful group of students and their families that I have grown to love very much! Take a look at our pictures from today.

Fairy Tale Ball

Once upon a time in a land we call Taylor, there was a sweet little class of Kindergarteners. One morning the Kindergarteners disappeared and in their place we found beautiful and handsome Fairy Tale characters. The change did not last long. The clock struck 10:00 and the Kindergarteners returned, but not before we captured a few unforgettable pictures.

Pumpkin Patch

We had a wonderful day at The Big Orange Pumpkin Farm! Beautiful weather and great friends! Take a look at some pictures!

Book Buddies

We are very lucky to get to enjoy a special Taylor tradition we like to call Book Buddies. We are partnered up with Mrs. VanCura's second grade class and get the privilege to read with them every Friday. Each child has one or two second graders that read to them each week. It helps to boost their reading as well as establishing relationships with older children in the school. They seem to love it so far! Take a look at a few of our friends sharing some reading time with their buddies!

Walkathon

Walkathon 2013 was a huge success! Our Kindergarteners braved the hot and humid weather to try their best! They ran A LOT of laps and raised some great money for our school. Thank you so much for all of the parent support! We could not do it without you! Take a look at some of the pictures from today.

Beginning of the Year

Well we're off!!! I can't believe we are already this far into the school year. I can not express how far your children have already come. They are learning and carrying out the procedures like they have been in Kindergarten forever. Take a look at our first pictures taken this year, because they will be all grown up when they leave me next June. I already love these faces so much and appreciate you sharing them with me every day!

My sister, Julie, and I took a vacation to Washington D.C. and New York City!

I am from Celina, Texas which is a small town just north of Frisco. I fulfilled my lifelong dream of attending Texas A&M University and graduated in May 2009. You can definitely say I bleed maroon! I have wonderful parents and two sisters, Julie and Abby. I also have two puppies, Charlie Brown and Daphne. I love my first home and have enjoyed spending the summer fixing it up! I student taught at Taylor Elementary in the spring of 2009 and was blessed to have the opportunity to stay at Taylor as a Kindergarten teacher. This will be my fifth year to teach, and I am very excited to have the opportunity to share it with your child. My family has been involved in education my entire life, and I believe it is truly God's calling for my own life!
